Roxburgh Castle

This is the tune Ricker preferred for the fool's jig, danced by Martin Harris.  The sheet music is a scan from a copy I got from Dave, and although it indicates the B music is played twice, I believe that until the last part of the dance, it's only played once.  For the last part, the B music is sped up considerably.

For the performance this Sunday at the blowout, there will be an approximately 2 measure rest while Martin does something improvisational.

This blog originally had the very narrow purpose of making available recorded and sheet music of the most often played tunes in the music sets.  Since its inception, many other dance tunes have been posted, which is awesome, but has had the effect of burying the original tunes, and making them hard to find.

I think the easiest solution is to use the tagging system provided by posterous.  I've gone back and tagged my posts with the following tags: "music-set", morris", "performance", "english-country", "sword", and now "info" for this one.

tl;dr: click "music-set" tag (beneath search) for those early posts of the music set tunes.
