Newcastle Waites

Ran across this one while playing tunes with Calvaleigh at the evening Euro session the Conservative Club in Whitby. A nyckelharpa player named Carol played it ; it stuck in my mind.  I didn't know the name of the tune, or have a recording. there was just a part of it on a video:

I tracked down Carol via email,and she gave the name and composer, but had no luck.  Followed a lead about a book it might be in but that fell through.  Then it crossed my mind again, and searching this time was fruitful.

Found this on the https://folkmusicnotes.wordpress.com/ site.  Later encountered it in the wild in Greenwich. Recently found this recording:

The playing is Deb Dawson on hurdy gurdy , and  Calvaleigh Rasmussen and Vicky Yancy on piano and diatonic accordions. Dots to follow. This version is slightly different form the on in Dansons La Morvandelle.
