William Winter was a fiddle player who lived from 1774 to 1861 in the Quantock Hills in Somerset.

Depending on who you ask, this was either written by Henry Lefkowitch or traditional. In any case, this transcription is Forest's, and the chords come from Jessa and Daria.
Daria also gives alternate chords for the B part: Em, Em, D7, D7, D7, C, D, Em.
Haapavesi is a town in Finland, the site of a large international folk music festival. Wikipedia says the town is also known for skiers and moonshine.
